The Hotels and B&B are all family-run and the hospitality is typical Italian: simple and warm. The flo111w of tourists begins in the spring in May, peaks in July to end in October with famous chestnut festival. One last influx of tourists occurs in the months of December, January, for Christmas holiday season. Reasonable prices in the numerous restaurants and pizzerias. The kitchen is the traditional: simple and genuine. The cuisine is mostly mountainous: with excellent goat meat, lamb or wild boar with local cheeses, both fresh and seasoned. Inevitable are the first dishes and sweets made of chestnut of Scala and the sfusato, the typical lemon of the Amalfi Coast.
